Sprytown at Night - Dark Saison - 500ml Bottle
The saisons of Belgian descent were traditionally brewed in the winter months with whatever ingredients were left over on the farms of Wallonia and then underwent a long conditioning for summer consumption.
The area now known as Spryfield was purchased in 1770 by land speculator and soon to be Colonel, Captain William Spry. Much of the area was developed into farmlands.
Our Saison is unique compared to the often light bodied and light in colored examples.
Version 1 - Spring 2021 Expect rustic, malt forward, dark caramel notes from munich malt, balanced by spice and fruit from the saison yeast.
Version 2 - Summer 2021 Gone are the deep caramel notes, increased tart and fruit character.
Version 3 - Fall/Winter 2021 - Sprytown at night is the latest version in our Sprytown series! We've amped up the dark malt flavor for fall bringing out notes of rich fruits like dates and raisin. It's 6% and hitting our shelves and taps tomorrow!
